Hello,
Still being a newbie when it comes to Mac OS, I had a small question to ask regarding something that has been bugging me for a little while now.
I recall back when iOS 11 was released, Apple had announced that conversations in Messages would now sync throughout all of your devices via iCloud. To be more specific, it was that if you deleted a conversation on one device, then that conversation would be deleted on all your other devices as well. So if I have a conversation on my iPhone that I delete, then if I were to look at my Apple Watch or my Mac, that conversation would also be deleted there. Now as far as I can see, this feature has not yet been enabled by Apple, and I am sure they have their reasons, although I am looking foward to when it arrives.
My question kind of relates to this. As I don't always go on my Mac everyday, when I do boot it up to use it, when I open Messages, all the conversations since my last time on my Mac are all listed in the conversations table. Now I know I can simply interact with the conversations table and delete them one by one, but I was wondering if there was a way to simply delete them all at once?
I've tried pressing Command+A to select all conversations and even pressed Control+Option+F6 to see what exactly is selected, but it appears that the Select All keystroke doesn't work. When I press Command+A, the only conversation that is highlighted is the last one VoiceOver read. I've tried the Select All (Command+A) via the keyboard shortcut and even by going to the Edit menu and selecting it from there, but only the last read conversation remains selected.
While I am on the subject, does anyone know the keystroke to select specific items? I know in Windows, you could hold down the Control key, use the arrow keys to navigate to a file and then press the spacebar to select, but is there a similar keystroke on the Mac? I am hoping that perhaps I could also use this keystroke to manually select each conversation and then delete them at once.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No improvement in Big Sur
The much-anticipated revamp of the Messages app in Big Sur has not improved this situation. There is no way to multiple-select conversations and perform bulk actions. The iOS app allows multiple selection and delete, but conversations are still not synced between iOS and Mac OS, even when using iCloud.
That would be nice. try…
That would be nice. try sending email to accessibility@apple.com with your thougyhtsthoughts. I've sent them feedback about this since about 2012 or maybe 2011 when lion came out with the messages app, no joy and my feedback hath fallen on deaf ears.
