Most popular podcast app, that can hold hundreds of subscriptions

Hi,
I absolutely love listening to podcasts! As a matter of fact, I have over 200 subscriptions.
As a result, I am seeking the most popular app, that works on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and windows. I’ve been using Pocket Casts, which also works with Amazon Alexa, but this morning, as well as previously, I’ve gotten storage full warning messages. Other apps, such as overcast, drain my battery extremely quickly.
If anyone here is using Pocket Casts on windows with a screen reader, how are you able to do it? I’ve tried using the web app, which is available through the window store, but it doesn’t seem very screen reader friendly. I am trying to work with them, on improving this.

I don't have that many podcast subscriptions but you might want to try it.

Hi,
I have used it in the past, and it drains my battery significantly. It does this, because it requires you to leave it open in your app switcher, if you want to receive notifications about new episodes, which I personally, think is ridiculous. Apple podcasts, downcast, eyecatcher, and others, also have this requirement.

it seems to be accessible and it might work better on your device. It's also paid, though I don't know if that's a problem for you.

I am personally using overcast. If you can avoid that, turn off autodownloading new episodes. That made the battery draining issues go away immediately for me.
If you tell it to download every new episode, it just basically downloads audio all the time, which kills battery pretty good.

Hi,
Yes, I've tried them all!
Downcast has the same battery-draining issue.
Castro doesn't work on the ipad.
Overcast has its own issues, as I mentioned above.
iCatcher also drains battery quickly.
Does anyone on here, use Apple podcasts, with a large library?
If so, how is it working?

I use iCatcher, and I do not have a problem with battery drain. I currently have about 150 subscriptions, and leave it running in the dock all the time, checking for new podcasts hourly. On my previous iPhone 7, I didn't make it through a day without charging, but with my iPhone 11, I can use my phone, and listen to lots of audio, and still have between 40-50 percent battery at the end of the day.

I want the same functionality.. I use overcast too but niether apple podcast nore overcast notify me because both of them have to be left open in the app switcher and my IPhone 6s has a small battery.
I sometimes wonder how come apple is still unable to fix this direct proportion of battery and cost? high cost, bigger battery. :)

I dunno, it just works. I have all downloads off, but am notified. Check your notifications settings. I have mine under quiet.
