Accessibility Comments

The book content is displayed via a standard web view, chapter by chapter, or section by section, depending on the book.

In some cases, VoiceOver does not scroll the page. To get accurate page numbers, when citing in a paper, etc, you can use space to scroll to where the VO cursor is.

If the focus is on a control which is not the web view, you can use the left and right arrows to turn pages, which also loads the next chapter.

The only inaccessible part of the software is the keyboard shortcuts tab, where VoiceOver will not tell you what keys are defined. Clicking on the blank sections, then pressing the desired key will remap the associated command.

Usability

There are some minor accessibility issues with this app, but they are easy to deal with.

Other Comments

Unless Apple improves accessibility in their Books app, this remains one of the most accessible book readers for the Mac. It is a great alternative to Speech Central, which focuses more on reading the book in a linear fashion.
