Forgot my password for my iTunes back-up

Hey all, I recently got an iPod touch 4th gennaration and have synced it with my computer. I have made an incripted back-up, but have forgotten my password. Any tips on what I can do?

Hi I hope my comment help you allot. You said that recently got a iPod right? I assume you have another iOS device, If you forgot the password for iTunes backup, who do I think? Is that exist the possibility to change the iTunes password backup. If you plug the old iOS device to iTunes under devices sources Using Tap key shows up the option to change password never I have done but I think could it work for you! Ask to some one else about it or I hope some on this forum has the solution.

Hi Ivan. Have you tried creating a backup through iCloud? Just incase you need to backup and restore any device via iCloud. I'm finding for you a solution on how to recover your password. Cheers.

Well, I wanted an incripted back-up so I can restore all my settings right from my computer and iCloud doesn't let you do that, or does it? Sorry, I'm new to the IOS World.

Marco, your comment does help, alot. One small problem, the change password diolog requires your old password and I do not have another IOS device syncing with the same computer as my iPod Touch.

Try backing up through iCloud and see if that helps I will do some more research to find out how you can recover you're password.
