Hello as previous posters pointed out earlier on 2016 MacBook's with the touchBar the trackpad is larger in size because unlike the MacBook with traditional function keys the trackpad on the 2016 MacBook's with touchBar the trackpad is referred to as the force touch trackpad because when you press it you have to put a little more pressure.
