Hey all.
So i was thinking about using PS4 remote play on my MacBook Air, but I am missing something.
Those of you who know windows 10 and NVDA know that when you hit NVDA plus R, you can OCR the current window with the help of the windows 10 OCR feature.
If I remember right, there once was a VO Ohr software on Mac, but I can't find it.
Can anyone point me in the right direction if that thing even exists? My mind might also be playing tricks on me, but I wanted to see if anyone knows anything.

Nuance OmniPage
I wish Nuance OmniPage (Kurzweil's OCR software) was available on the Mac. This is one of the reasons I keep my old Win7 system around.
Using Abbyy Fine Reader on Mac
Does anyone use Abbyy Fine Reader on a Mac? I am wondering if you can use VO to read the recognized text, and if yes, how to do it?

I have Abbyy FineReader, but I use it more for recognizing inaccessible pdf files. I convert them into rtf or txt so I can open and read them in a word processor such as TextEdit. This is quite different from VOCR which recognizes what's on the computer screen. VOCR is great because you can navigate through the text and perform mouse clicks on items if necessary.

Hi Jim,
The best way I can do it is to save the document you want to convert, open finereader OCR, and it'll ask you want you want to do. Find the convert to word item, and select it. It'll bring you into a list of documents like your used to. Select the doc you want to convert, it'll do OCR on it and convert it. Then you just have to type the file name you want.
Hope this helps you and good luck. I haven't really used finereader in a while, but usually this works for me.

Why isn’t anyone talking about vOCR? Sigh. Anyway, vocr is a great resource if you’re interested in using in accessible applications or other things.
