macOS and Mac Apps

Hey everyone.

So, yesturday was the day when I received my package with my MacBook Air. I have the ability to test the thing for about a month to see if I can get used to Mac and the difference from windows.

setting up the machine was quite doable and I did set up a few of my programs already, namely office 365 and whatsapp for Mac, and so far, everything is workking as it should.

i do run into some problems regarding missing commands and the web navigation though.

Someone told me, when quicknav is enabled, I can use hotkeys like vo plus h to jump to headings, vo plus L for links and what not. Thing is, when i enable quicknav and try vo plus h, it jumps to the VO help menu and not to the next heading on the page.

Also, does someone know any up to date beginner guides for VO or a list with some general Mac shortcuts? All the stuff I found on the web seams quite outdated, and the blog on here mostly has articles about iOS.

So, if someone has some tips or links, be so kind and shoot them myway :)

Kind regards

With QuickNav on, you need only press the letter key. So, H will take you to the next heading of any level, Shift-H will take you to the previous heading. And likewise for all the other available letters.

Hey.

So well, I found the trick to use the keys.

Apparently you have to press the vo modifier, in my case capslock, option and the key, for example H.

Well, sorta a strane on the hands, but I guess it has to do.

Now the only problem remains when things like headings are announced.
For example, VO says.
Heading level 1 containing 3 objects: general game discussion.

I would like it to say:
General game discussion, heading level 1 containing 3 objects.

Is this somehow possible or is there a workaround?
