I understand the layout for the day and month selection, but once I double tap to select the day of the event, I can't always find the keypad for typing in the time. Then, I can't find the section where you fill in when your event ends.
Hi. When you press the button to select the start of the event, it expands a menu with the time keypad at the top, and the day picker below that. After you select the day, go back up to the time keypad, then go up and press the starts button again to collapse the menu for selecting the time and date. That will make it much easier to select the end time for the event

When trying to choose the begin and end times for the event, first do a one finger double tap on start, found at the top. This brings up a number pad seen at the bottom of the screen. Once the time has been input, go back to the top and double tap on the start again. This collapses the menu, where you can repeat the process for the end time. For each part of the time choices, you have to first open it and then close it before proceeding to the next portion of the event options.
