Hello all,
I have a series 3 watch and I am not able to update it to the latest software. It keeps telling me I do not have enough space. It says I need 3.1 gigabytes free to do the update. Even if I delete all my apps and my health data, there is no way for me to get enough space. Is anyone else seeing this? I have seen a couple other people tweet about it.

I'm experiencing the same issue. Not sure how to work around it.

You may need to delete some of the faces in your watch from your phone to see if that works.
Reset watch
It looks as if the only way to resolve this is to do a complete reset of the watch. At least that is what I have seen others have to do. There is just not a way to get rid of enough things to clear enough space. I don't know if that hassle is worth it. My watch may just be staying on watchOS 6.
Took the plunge
Hello,
I did reset my watch to do the update. It finally did start the update. It is taking forever. During the preparing update stage it got stuck on 10 percent for nearly an hour. It is now finally installing. Lets hope it was worth it. LOL.

Hey Greg, I also own the Series 3 Apple Watch. It took almost three hours before the update was completed. Was quite surprised. I didn't face the space limitation issue, however. The only other thought I had, while reading this thread, is perhaps the iPhone was a little too crowded? If you would have deleted some BARD books or something else like that, perhaps the watch would have had room to breathe and perform the update? You've already gotten things under way but I thought I'd post that thought anyway.
