Update #2: It's been confirmed that audio description will be available for the event when it airs (rather than a described version being made available later, which is what Apple typically does with live stream events).
The event starts at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. UTC.
How to watch
- Watch the official live stream on Apple’s YouTube channel.
- Watch on any device at Apple’s Events website.
- Watch on Apple’s TV app on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, Apple TV, and other supported devices.
Update #1: Bloomberg now reports that the September event will focus on Apple Watch and iPad announcements, and not the iPhone 12 as initially widely reported.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who reported ahead of time that Apple would reveal its September event today, Apple will save the iPhone 12 announcement for sometime in October. Instead, the September 15 event will include the new Apple Watch hardware and new iPad hardware.
Apple has today revealed that it will be holding an event on September 15.
Apple has provided no further details at this time, but it is anticipated that the event will see the launch of the iPhone 12 and other products, possibly including Apple Watch Series 6; new or updated iPad models; Apple AirTags; a new or upgraded Apple TV; AirPod branded over-the-ear headphones; and a smaller HomePod.
Rumors are that the iPhone 12 will be available in four models across two tiers. According to AppleInsider, “the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max are thought to have 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch OLED displays, while the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are anticipated to have 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens respectively.”
Speculation regarding the iPad suggests that we should expect either a refresh of the 10.2-inch seventh-generation iPad or a new 10.8-inch iPad Air with slimmer bezels and Touch ID embedded in the power button.
The Apple Watch Series 6 is expected to be a minor refresh, with the addition of blood oxygenation monitoring possibly being the only significant change.
Arguably more interesting are rumors that we might see a new entry-level Apple Watch to replace the Series 3, with there being speculation that it will be available with a plastic casing option.
Apple has previously indicated that it will be releasing its first Mac powered by Apple Silicon some time this year, but it is likely that this will be announced later this fall.
News of this event would also seem to suggest that the releases of iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 are imminent, possibly within the next couple weeks.
This should make for a busy September for Apple news and releases. Post a comment below to let us know what you are looking forward to.

I tweeted about this!
Hi,
I tweeted about this! I am looking forward to hearing about the new iPads, and release dates for the software updates.
Interesting
Looking forward to iOS 14 which hope is much better than 13. Also 12 pro which I am planning to get and OS 7 for my series 5. Much things to see.
Apple is getting more and more irratic
I really was sorta hoping that Apple was going to stick on schedule. It makes it much easier to predict when apple stays on a schedule.
wow.
excited to see the new products of the Apple.inc I can't wait for the new air-pods headphones. Let's see, what we have. it will be a lot of fun!

I'm surprised they're only a week late. Covid's thrown a spanner in the works of just about everything. Getting mad at Apple for not sticking to the schedule doesn't make much more sense than getting mad at the Earth for spinning on its axis. This entire year (and probably most of next) is one big, crazy, dumpster fire.

I'm excited for the release dates of IOS 14 :)
I want the new home screen
Fun Times
I hope we can look forward to the announcement of iOS 14 and Mac OS Big Sur. This year has been rather strange due to the pandemic, but the good folks in Cupertino and China have done a good job keeping up with the times, just as I've come to expect from the company. I'm asking for new headphones for Christmas, and I think I might've just narrowed down my selection a bit.
iOS 14
Well 8 beta just came out. The gold master probably will be out next week and the last be out on 24. Christmas I want a mac my self. I planning to get the 12 pro for me.
I'm excited
I'm excited for the iPhone as well. I'm likely either getting the 12+ or the 12 Pro (or the 11 if the 12's battery life is disappointing) and an Apple Watch. As a Galaxy s9+ user who is fed up with Google, iOS 14 seems really promising. I'm disappointed that they are delaying ad tracking restrictions, but the rest of it sounds pretty good. I'll hold off on any Mac products until they can get their accessibility act together, though what I've seen from Big Sur is a step in the right direction, considering they actually put some thought into the accessibility of the Catalyst apps and partially unflummixed Braille support. I really liked the PDF and epub reader on Mac OS.
iOS 14
Just heard several videos on youtube about iOS 14. They like it and keep reporting very stable. Sadly they never talk about accessibility. Hope OS 7 is also stable because in 2 weeks it will go in my series 5. My current 11 pro max is going to a nice lady and I hope to get 12 pro or 12 pro max. Depend on the price.
Surprised to not hear about
Swift, Xcode 11, Swift Playground’s 5.3 and Swift UI.
Apple please don’t forget about these too!!!!!
