Changing premium voices and keyboard feedback

Hi Ken. To change the premium voice. 1. go to settings and general. 2. Go to international. 3. Under Voice control, change to either english UK or English Australia. 4. Plug your phone in and change the voice to what you have chose with the language router. To change the keyboard typing feedback go to settings and accessibility and voiceover. It's under keyboard feedback, and the heading of hardware keyboards.

Hi everyone. I have never had any luck getting the premium voice change to stick. I'm using a Verizon iPhone 5. I have tried going into international settings and changing the region format to Australia. I've then plugged in the phone and allowed ample time for the premium Karen voice to download (at least 30 minutes) but it never did. Another thing to keep in mind is that when you change your region format, it also changes Siri's input language as well, so you have to change that back to US English unless you want your temperatures displayed in celcius, and your distance in kilometers. The only time I was able to get the premium voice to stick for a short time was to erase all content and settings on my phone, and set it up as a new phone choosing Austrailia as my country during the initial setup process. I then left the phone plugged in for awhile, and the premium voice downloaded. However, as soon as I changed Siri to US english, it reverted back to the compact Karen voice. I realize that I could jailbreak and install any voices I wanted, and I have done this in the past, but I don't choose to expose myself to potential security threats at this point. If anyone can think of anything I might be doing wrong or has any suggestions, I would love to hear them. I can't stand the premium US voice, and reading with compact Karen is a drag when the premium is so much better. Thanks! Allison
