I just tried to log into my apple account on my Macbook pro 2018 and was presented with the 2 factor authentication. I tried several times to enter the 6 digit number with no luck. I have the latest OS 10.15.5. I can enter the number with no problems on my PC. Any help?

Make sure your not trying to press tab or anything when you put the numbers in. just type them. The Voiceover cursor will move you to the next field on its own.

Not sure if this is being discussed anywhere else but I think I have a work around on this. After entering your passord, it will send the code to your other device. after getting your code from secondary device stay on the screen on your macbook and turn off Voice Over by hitting the Command + F5 . Type in the 6 digit code. You won't hear anything so turn the Voice Over back on either by using Siri or the Command + F5. So far I think it works. Kind of tricky though.
Additionally if you have a Macbook that has the Touch Bar, you can turn off Voice Over by holding down the Command key and triple click the TouchId button located to the right of the Touch Bar. Turn it back on the same way.
