I tried to sign up for mastodon but
I tried to sign up for mastodon, through the mercury app, it took me to a website I put in the required information, but it keeps wanting me to match the requested form and I’m not sure what I am supposed to do I tried multiple things, my wife even tried to help me.
Joining Mastodon.
The main instance may be closed to new members. Below are 2 links. It would be best to visit the below on a computer, not a mobile device.
Join Mastodon instances
Or you could try the instance I'm in now. That link is below. Think of Mastodon like email. You join an instance, not one central social network. Pick an instance you like. Anyone can talk to each other across instances.
Again, do all of this on the computer, not a mobile device.
Mastodon invite link
Another Instance To Check Out (though not as well known
http://trenton.link/mastodon
, takes you to my Mastodon page on the Super Dimension Fortress (SDF.)
Feel free to join/follow me there if you wish.
PS. Unlike Mastodon.social, the SDF one is not as popular, thus ya will have a better time joining.
Opening links
So generally speaking, any links that are in a toot are accessible via the actions roter menu, alongside hashtags and other options.
However I’m finding that sometimes this is not the case. On some occasions, where there is a link in the ttoot, the link is not appearing in the rotor.
Can anyone else confirm this or know why it’s happening?
Thanks,
Dave
