Hi,
A friend is thinking of upgrading her iPhone 7 to one of the latest iPhones. She is not planning to wait for the release of the next iPhones, so she is looking for recommendation on which iPhone to get. Here is a rundown of her preferences:
1. Battery life does matter to her.
2. Screen size does not matter at all.
3. Performance, as she wants to feel the difference between her current iPhone 7 and the most recommended device.
4. Camera performance does not matter at all.
5. Weight, size and portability; the lighter, the more portable and reasonably -sized.
Budget does not matter as this is part of her upgrade plan cycle for her phone.
Thanks all.

Battery lasts longer than other iPhones (8 hours), and the Home button is Haptic like on the 7, as well as the 4.7-inch screen. You'll have an iPhone 8, with the inwards ofof an iPhone11 if the SE2010 is decided on. Good luck!

I have the iPhone 11, & love it!
Battery life is great, it takes amazing pictures, due to having 3 cameras on the back, & Face ID is very easy & fully accessible to setup. It’s also instant when you use it for Apple Pay, unlocking, obtaining apps & music, etc.

I'd suggest getting the iPhone SE 2020 if your friend cannot wait until September/October for the next major iPhone releases. Buying an iPhone 11 or 11 Pro/Pro Max right now would be a waste of money as the new iPhones would render them obsolete sooner. The SE 2020 will fit the cases and accessories your friend already has, and it also supports wireless charging which is very convenient. There is one caveat though: the battery is definitely not best-in-class so I'd recommend a battery case to go with the phone. Apple and Mophie sell well-reviewed models. Hope this helps.

I also recommend the iPhone SE 2020. You can order the iPhone directly from Apple. Or you can contact your carrier and see if they have the iPhone in the store.

Be nice if your friend could wait 2 months but if not get the 11 pro max. I charge my phone every 2 days. The battery is fantastic. With 14, it willl be much better. Sound is great.

Because of the smaller battery capacity, the iPhone SE 2020 doesn't last very long on a charge. I don't own this phone myself but I have an iPhone 8 which is very similar. The battery is OK but since I don't have a SIM card I can't speak to battery drain speeds with constant cellular data usage. If you are not a power user the battery should be fine but if you want very long battery life, I suggest investing in a good battery case.

iPhone SE is my choice as well. I have a iPhone Xr, but if I wanted to buy a new one, I'd buy an iPhone SE. Thanks.
