At the end of each month, we at the AppleVis Editorial Team take a look at all the apps that have been posted to the site during that month—either for the first time, or where there has been a significant update—and decide which of these we think is the most noteworthy.
As was the case in February, March 2013 was a good month for iOS gamers. And, as was also the case last month, the AppleVis Editorial Team app pick of the month for March comes from the game category: Robo-E.
In this fully accessible strategy game, Robo-E’s job is to clean the galaxy of toxic waste. But Robo-E’s brain is confused—and he can't do it alone.
Robo-E is a $1.99 download from the iTunes App Store, and some of our editorial team were particularly impressed by this app because of the developer’s engagement with the AppleVis community.
The developers of Robo-E have graciously offered us some promo codes for another of their apps, VOCalc, a calculator app which is designed for use by people with low vision and optimized for VoiceOver accessibility. If you would like one of these promo codes, please leave us a comment explaining why you think this app might be useful to you.
Other editorial team runner-up picks for March 2013 included BBC News, Audiobus, and Reuters.
What were your favorite app releases and updates in March 2013? Please let us know in the comments!
