NEW GAME: Sounds Of Eden!

Hi guys and gals, Harry here from the Purple Jam crew. We've just launched a new audio game/experience. It's fairly experimental, but I personally love it. Here's the blurb:

Sounds of Eden is a meditative, audio experience. Designed to inspire a sense of peace and calm within the listener. Walk through an endlessly generated garden where the only things that grow are blissful sounds. Each time you enter your garden, you'll find a unique array of plants that grow around you as you explore.

This is an audio only experience, there are no visuals.

Purple Jam Ltd:
Inspired by previous audio titles in the scene, we aim to create games where sight offers no advantage to the player. The brain is the world's most powerful graphics card, so imagination is encouraged.

It's available on PC/Mac via our website, and on the iOS app store.

iOS App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id1525196057
Mac: https://www.purplejamaudio.com/product-page/soe

Would love to get your feedback on this one, it's intentionally minimal from an interaction perspective, but there's a huge amount going on under the hood to make it all sound as gorgeous as it does. As per, if this does well we'll be taking on board all feedback and updating the game as we did for Audio Pong.

Thanks for taking the time to check this out!

Cheers!

Can you interact with plants, or do you just walk around and listen to sounds?

Hi DMNagel!

Right now you can't interact with plants, although the update that's in the works will add some interaction :).

Cheers!

I love it too although some things have to go. you know the bells which have a sort of eiry note to them? they have to go as well as whatever that tranging sound is. to me, it doesn't sound like it should be, and it's the sound usually used for gunshots--hard to explain here. also, and I think I put this in a review, I wish we could interact with any people there--isn't there a person sweeping the garden path at one point? it sounds like it/I wish you could be given a brief description of the plant/sound you're hearing at any moment.

My favorite sound is the fountain and I often stay there for hours. Have to find a good spot and just stay. I like the wooping sound. The only thing I see out of place are the decending bells.
I am often there while crocheting and can move whenever I want to. Really beautiful app.pp.
@Ashleigh I like that wooping sound and asume you mean the decending bells. I love all of the sounds but the one I like the least is the decending bells.

Yes, the sound I'm describing as the gunshot type thing is the wooping sound. if you've ever been to Branson Missouri, and if you live in the states, you'd hear that wooping sound as you hit the lazor target in a certain theme park's flooded mine ride. of course, you shoot lazer guns there/hear the sound I described in the game here. I would also like to know if there's someone sweeping the path at one point/sure sounds like it. however, it could be tree branches blowing and touching the ground. yet, the noise stops every now and again, so I think it's a sweeper. I almost wish you could have others on the path as well, people you could talk to about what's being grown both now and in the past.
