Hi all.

I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch the old style, which is last released in 2017, the only problem I have, is, the keyboard is too small to use. Has anybody got the new MacBook Pro 13 inch? If so, what is the new magic keyboard like, are the keys bigger, or are they smaller?

Please help as I am considering upgrading.

Any changes as a voice-over user would also be gratefully appreciated, if somebody can let me know if there are any changes to voice-over.

Many thanks and stay safe

Hello,
I just purchased a new 13 inch MacBook Pro back at the end of May. It is the quad core 10th generation I5 with 16 gigs of ram and a one terabyte SSD. I would not say the keys are bigger but there is much better separation between the keys. The arrow keys on the new keyboard are back in the inverted T formation. The new keyboard is much better than the butterfly style keyboards on previous MacBook pros. There is no difference in VoiceOver on the newer 13 inch MacBook Pro.

Hi,

I got the new 13-inch MacBook Pro in mid-June and haven't noticed the keyboard being unbearably small, but that may be due to my skinny fingers. If at all possible, I'd suggest going to a physical store to feel the MacBook out yourself (I know that Costco has MacBooks on display but I'm not sure if any Apple/Best Buy stores are open for exploration). If you do get the new MacBook and find the keyboard too small to use, you can buy an affordable external keyboard and use that instead. I haven't tried the butterfly keyboards on older MacBooks but I do notice the Magic keyboard used on the latest MacBook Pro is really nice; it doesn't have the greatest travel but it'll get the job done and then some. The speakers and Bluetooth on the new MacBook are exceptional, so built-in audio is loud and clear and the Bluetooth latency (at least with AirPods) is pretty much non-existent.

Hope this helps. :)

Sincerely,
Maddy
