IOS Outlook - VoiceOver not reading sender and subject

Greetings: I love the Outlook email client on my iPhone. I am blind and am a VoiceOver user. Literally overnight, VO, rather than read the sender and subject, now simply states, "YOU". I removed the app and reloaded, but this did not solve the problem. Has anyone experienced this and if so, has anyone been able to correct the problem? Prior to this change, VO would announce the sender, subject and time of email. Thanks so much.

Hello,

In my case it does read the subject of the emails, but it is true that it does not read the sender.

Almost two months ago I put the issue from the Outlook application itself, I recommend you to do the same so they take it into account.

You can put the incident by contacting the user service by clicking on the button to open the menu, "Help and comments" and on the option "Contact the technical service".

It still works fine for me.

I have two accounts configured with the app. My gmail account reads the names of the senders just find. My work account reads as you describe above. I'm not 100% certain, but I believe my work mail is through a Microsoft Exchange server. I noticed this a few months back but haven't had a chance to contact Microsoft.

I've been experiencing similar behavior for the past few releases of this app.

In my case, mail from mailing lists appears to be most effected - instead of VoiceOver speaking the sender's name as it did in the past, it now speaks the list email address.

Very frustrating, and has had me switch back to the native Mail app.

This appears to have been resolved in one of the recent updates to the app.

No, knock on wood all works over here. Using ios 14b4 but even under 13.6.1, it was working grate. In fact I just used outlook a few minutes ago and it still worked. Try rebooting the phone after uninstalling outlook and checking screen size etc.
