Volume problem with all my music apps, please help?

Dear all,
I have a problem with my 'music' apps. When I double tap to enter any of my music apps such as Amazon Music, Sound Hound or the standard Apple music app, the volume of my Iphone reduces to almost nothing (wherever the volume control is set). To reset the volume to what it should be, I have to close the music app I have open or close my Iphone. After a couple of seconds, the volume goes back to it's normal volume. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Steve.

Hello Steve. For some reason the iPhone does seem to have volume issues from time to time. This is how I run my phone. First, I always keep my volume maxed, not due to hearing loss but just because I like it that way. I use the side switch to control the volume. Next, if I think my phone is not ringing at the volume that it should, then I go to Settings, Sound and Haptics and ensure that the volume percentage is at 100%. This usually fixes any issues that I have with any app.

Hope this helps.

Not sure what causes this, but my phone does this with a guitar tuning app called Talking Tuner. In the app I have to raise the volume of VoiceOver significantly. When I exit the app voiceOver is almost at max volume. sounds similar to what your encountering. I always thought it was just something with that specific app, but perhaps its some sort of audio bug with VoiceOver.
