I have just updated Voice Dream on my a iPhone 6 plus to the latest version. The 6 plus is running IOS 12. After the update, when you double tap on the play button, it usually does not stop reading on the first try. The two finger double tap still works. I have used Voice Dream for 7 years and have never had a bug like this. My primary device is a 6S, running IOS 13. I have not updated Voice Dream on the 6S yet because I don't want to introduce this bug to it. I'm wondering if this bug is specific to IOS 12 or to the 6 plus in particular or if it occurs on IOS 13 and on other devices as well. Has anyone experienced this bug?

I've had this too
I use Voice Dream to help me read out loud because I can read by sentence. Often whether Voiceover is on or off, tapping to stop reading will fail. SOmetimes it works, other times I have to try again. It really throws me off. I haven't used it for very long, and I gather from your post that this is not normal. I'm using IOS 13 on an XR

No it is not normal. I never had this problem, prior to version 4.11.2. One reason I have the 6 plus as a secondary device is so that I can update frequently used apps on it for testing before doing so on my primary device, in case something like this happens, but I don't always do that. I'm glad I did this time. I will not update my 6S until the problem is fixed. I will contact the developer. Hopefully he will fix it in the next update.
