Description of App

The Loud Typer application loads into the system menu bar and makes sounds when you press any key. This works system-wide and in all applications.
Although the Loud Typer app has a wide range of built-in sound themes to choose from, you can also use your own sounds. (Note: in the free version, the choice of sound themes is limited to the default theme.)
Loud Typer allows you to customize keyboard sounds individually for each application.
Loud Typer loads the icon into the system menu bar to access application settings. The main program window is opened using: System menu bar > "Loud Typer" icon > "Settings ..." menu item.
-----------------------------------
Note: external speakers (Bluetooth speakers, USB speakers) can affect the sound quality.

This is the best typing app. very accessible and easy to use. their's more sounds, but it's in inapt purchase. several examples include drums, birds, etc.

Sseems like anoval idea, but why would you want an app that makes noise when you type, That wo me woudl seem distracting.

well, i actually got it for the typewriter sound effect. not all the other sounds. the typewriter effect gives a vintage quality to the mac typing experience.

Is there a way to turn the app off let's say in class, so my student's don't hear a type writer through my headset? Lol!

One thing you might want to keep in mind and one piece of advice is this. Turn off the special keys. This way you don't get the clack or what not for the caps lock, control, option, etc., there is a also a global applications key for turning int off so I can have it off during class. Lol! A schedule thing would be nice, but oh well.

hope that helps a bit.

I wish there was something like this for windows. Not that I need it, but it just sounds like fun to make your computer beep and boop whenever you type. lol

If you want to play a prank on someone it would be cool. Download it onto someone's computer, then set it up. They won't know what the hell happened to their computer. And this type writer sound is really cool.

Hi,

I accidentally found this app, bought the thing and am using the mechanical keyboard sounds. It is not as loud and obnoxious as either the typewriter or the electric typewriter, but gives very good audible feedback.

As someone that lives in the Linux TTY console, I really appreciate the sound of a good keyboard.

It says in the description that you can use custom sounds. That is, sounds from your own personal library. How can I do this?

There’s a tab called user themes in the main loud Typer window, you can go in there and edit or add themes. You can select the file from the designated spot in the tab
