iOS and iPadOS

Hello
My name is Mike stearn and I am new to the Apple VIS website. I sing and play guitar, and I was wondering if there was a good app for recording music and editing tracks. Many of my musician friends who are cited are using an app called Acapella, but after exploring it, it is not voice over accessible. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you very much. app

Ferrite Studio comes to mind. For basic editing it is really good. And there are many VO-specific informations in the handbook.

You could also try Garage Band. However I have never used it enough to say anything usefull about it. But maybe that geets you started.

Thanks. I thought reaper was only for PC's. If needed, does it have a video component?

I've been writing this blog series on GarageBand. I've taken a break the past couple months, but hope to discuss MIDI recording in Part 4, due out sometime this summer. You can read the blog for my thoughts on its accessibility. In brief, there are some issues that make it quite challenging. But I still find it useful for my amateur music and podcast recording needs.

All the tutorials here just focus on GB on the mac. What about those of us who don't have a mac and are using iOS/iPad OS? Any resources for people like me who are kind of newbs to making music in general?

The subject says it all. Reaper sadly only exists for Mac or PC. But a iOS or iPad OS Version would be pretty cool. However, to my knowledge there is no such version in planing.

It sounds like there is some basic video editing capability with Reaper. I am not familiar with it at all so I don't want to give misleading information. If you would like to know more about it you can google video or video editing with Reaper. After reading the initial post I did realize you were asking more about IOS than Mac it seems as a previous post indicates Reaper is only on Mac OS and Windows, not IOS.

Hello! I realize the reply to this thread is several months old. I got sidetracked and I'm just now working on learning Ferrite. I had a link to the tutorial for it that seemed to be geared towards VO users, but I can't seem to find it. Can someone send me a link to the most useful tutorial? Thanks very much. Also, I was wondering if there's been any movement with the Acapella app becoming more accessible.

I use Hokusai for my musical stuff and it's pretty good.

Can you provide a little more detail? Is there a video and audio component? Thanks.

it's a simple DAW which has effects and features for you to edit your music. There's no video editing features though.

Can you point me to a tutorial on it?
