Testing new object recognition app that uses iOS built in OCR functionality

Hello everyone. I am working on an app called Perspective AI. This app will use Apple's built in OCR functions to detect objects and read text. The app is in beta currently, and I wanted to share the TestFlight link with everyone here. I am really excited about this app as I think it has given some of the best results that I have ever seen in an OCR app. The app is completely offline, and does not require the internet. Feel free to email me at mikedoise@icloud.com if you would like more info, and we also have a Perspective AI WhatsApp group to discuss the beta. I hope you guys enjoy it and I look forward to hearing your feedback. Join the Perspective AI Beta by using the TestFlight link https://testflight.apple.com/join/sQxHcx5r

but it seams the quick read functions aren't availible but the document scanning mode is great, it got some cans of drink I have, but I can't find a mode to recognise objects.

how can we join the whatsapp group please? i was wondering that as well, to be quite honest with the quick read, when i double tap the button, the camera clicks, nothing happens. When i flick down on the button though i hear activate, quick read which is disabled in the beta, as is speakto perspective, and scan document, which, reads text as has been stated but would not say, this is a can of coca-cola for example.

I seem to be encountering the same thing. The tilt guidance seems to be really cool, it seems to vibrate continuously when you are pointed at something and it seems to make a different vibration when you’re not. I’m going to do some more testing but it doesn’t seem like the object recognition is working for me either. Again like I just said, I need to test it some more

Hi everyone, Quick read is the default behavior for the app. It is the activate action for VoiceOver. Basically, the app is doing an accurate scan, which can take longer on some phones than others, and it will not say anything at the current time if text is not found. I will be changing this in a future version of the beta. I will also add a vocal alert to let you know that the text is being processed when you take a picture.

As for the Whatsapp group, Please send me an email at mikedoise@icloud.com and I will add you to the WhatsApp group.

The short text mode doesn't work, I'm going to go back to seeing AI, if this makes it into the app store, I'll think about trying it again but for now; Seeing AI is what i prefer.

Hello!
I have a question about your app. Cannot read text from and describe photos that are in your photo library?

Also, I tried to send you an email about this twice. And it said something about it being blocked. Are use a Gmail account.
But I wasn’t sure if you were having an issue with your iCloud mail. Or if you had your settings set that way somehow. If you do, I understand.
I would just like to be able to contact you if there’s any issues. And I don’t use WhatsApp. Because I found it to be an accessible. Or at least that’s what I’ve heard. Plus I do not have a cell phone. So I don’t think it would work. And I would really love to try this beta app!
But I just figured I would post here and ask you that question, and alert you to a possible issue. Thank you in advance!
