Well... it depends on what you mean by compact. If you are referring to something you can fold up, not quite sure what to recommend, but if you mean a small compact keyboard, then I would recommend the Logitech K380.

I first heard of this keyboard from both the Double Tap Canada podcast and the RNIB Tech Talk podcast. I quickly decided to pick one up and haven't regreted the purchase.

It's a rather inexpensive, small keyboard that is well built and can be paired with 3 different devices, whether it be an iOS, Mac OS, Android or Windows device. One of the nice things that I personally like is... it uses 2 AAA batteries, so when your batteries wear down and are unusable, you simply remove them and replace them with 2 new batteries. No having to buy a brand new keyboard.

HTH!

What is the size of this k380 model compared to a standard PC keyboard?

I'm not sure I would put the K-380 in the category of "compact" as it's not something you can fit in a pocket or anything. A laptop bag or backpack, for sure, but not anything smaller. Full-sized PC keyboards come in a lot of sizes and sometimes offer other functionality, yet others do not, it's hard for me to compare it. I have a USB keyboard in front of me, and it is certainly smaller than that. The K-380 is maybe half the size. That said, it does not have a number pad. I do like the keyboard a lot, I've had mine for over 4 years and it is still functioning as it should.

Does this keyboard has a Numpad like most of desktop keyboards? I am learning Audio-Editing using Reaper and lots of keyboard shortcuts are easier with a numpad.
Thanks,
