Hello.
I have a focus 14 braille display that is paired with my phone. I would like tips and tricks for how to navigate iOs using this device.

Hello all.
Focus 14 Blue 4G is yet compatible with iOS 13.5 and later?
Thank you in advance for response.
Ps.
I was thinking to buy QBraille or Brailliant BI 14, but focus is mi favorite.
Since it’s release i want this display. :-)

I have noticed that you can simulate the control key, command key etc. on the Focus Blue. However I am not sure if this is at all useful, because I don't know if I can do key shortcuts with those modifier keys. Does anyone know?

HI Sandra.

Yes, you can use these commands with braille and combine them with letters to carry out functions. The quick way involves being fast on the display. For example, to go into the Reader view, or to leave it, you can press space with 1-7 for the command key, followed by space with 4-7 for the shift key, and then r for reader mode. All of the others work as well. If you are finding that you do not have enough time to hit the letter in the command, or that if, for example, you have a hard time hitting command and then shift, you can toggle these keys on and off. Instead of using dot 7, use dot 8. IN the example I provided above, this involves pressing space with dots 1-8, then space with 4-8, and then the letter r. You will need to turn these toggles off once you have completed this command sequence. So you would then press space with 1-8, and then space with 4-8, to turn the command and shift key toggle off. The resources provided in this thread are good, we also have a guide on AppleVis. This guide was posted over 7 years ago, but I maintain it with each major iOS release. I'm also open to adding things to the guide if people are interested. You can find the guide at this link

I hope this is helpful,

Scott
