Garage band questions

I have it, along with iMovie and there’s no guides on how to use them on a iPad. I’m a blind beginner with these apps and I want to become a expert with them. Can someone help me too. Please!!! Thank you

Garage Band with VO on iOS needs a podcast series. Anyone willing to take a crack at it? I've even read through Apple's education guide on GB for the iPad and it was overwhelming, not to mention that it's not written for accessibility at all. At least their Everyone Can Code series has materials that focus on accessibility. Too bad I don't have an iPad. lol

I did a couple of getting started with GB workshops at the Apple store, but they were kind of overwhelming too. I would love to learn how to make music with Garage Band on my iPhone, but I have no idea where to start.

Also courses in ITunes U. There needs to be a section for us on there. iMovie too.

I don’t know how to get started, can you please help me with learning and making songs. iMovie too please! It’s all so confusing to me as a beginner.

Please tell me if the link does not work. I am willing to do a YouTube video series on the way that I record using garage band if their is a big enough interest. If you’re going to want to work with loops in certain beat sequencing things within the app you’re going to need to get a workstation/synthesizer or mini controller I mostly use my iPhone as a microphone to record the sound and then I go in and clean it up with mastering it would be a lot to explain in words so if you guys would want a video I would rather do that. Do any of you play an instrument? You’re going to have a harder time if you’re not a musician already so if you haven’t decided on an instrument to start learning I would pick one of those first before you decide to get into recording with GarageBand even if it is making beats you will definitely want to buy a synthesizer/workstation i have a Moog The same brand used by Stevie Wonder. I am also a guitarist and harmonica player. So go ahead and bring on the questions I will try to answer them the best to my ability if they get too complex then the video I will definitely do

Yes, some YouTube videos covering basics would be awesome! Someone did one that popped up in my recommendations this morning, but it didn't go very in depth and kind of stopped in the middle.

I have a story that leads to a total noob question. lol

Speaking of YouTube, the other day I found some videos reviewing an old casio keyboard I had as a child, which made me really nostaljic. That got me to open up GB on my phone and poke around. I kind of figured out that it would be much easier if I could connect a keyboard to my phone and use it to play the instruments in Garage Band. I think that's what midi controllers are.

Are there keyboard controllers that are made for that, meaning you have to connect them to a computer/phone to use them? I'm thinking something like that would be less complex than a regular keyboard. Googling wasn't very helpful, and of course nothing mentions accessibility. It would be kind of cool to get something like that to use to mess around with in GB on my iPhone. Any advice there?

Well then I will at least do a video on GarageBand myself and upload it to my channel it could be a couple of weeks before the video is up there because i’m currently waiting on an adapter cord that has been delayed in shipment due to the coronavirus, I want to make sure it’s in depth and a good video because like you guys I understand the frustration and have literally taught myself everything I wish there would have been someone to guide me along the way. You were correct about the mini controllers artist from 9 inch nails Trent Reznor all the way to Dr. Dre use mini controllers to create loops and beats You can find minicontrollers as cheap as $30 up to thousands of dollars so just make sure it is a USB one get the lightning adapter cable from Apple and you can start messing around with a mini controller if you’re wanting to record a keyboard electric guitar or microphone you can get a USB audio interface and do the same thing and record straight into garage band.
