Hi all,
Just upgraded to iPhone 11 and was thinking for the first time to try charging wirelessly. So, there are so many cases out there what do people use. On that, the non wallet type cases presumably people use screen protectors Do they work well with VO? Or are the wallet type ones best. Any ideas appreciated. Don't want to spend a huge amount on a case but I'll see when I know which one to get. I know this is probably subjective so will bare this in mind.

Hi. I have an Otterbox Defender case myself. It will make your phone bulkier so bare that in mind. However,I cracked the hell out of my last one, screen protector as well. Phone? Just fine. It withstands drops, and I'm pretty sure it can charge wirelessly. I do hope apple comes out with something but that's another post. My case had a belt clip that I can't find. The other thing I will mention is vibration and the haptick feedback. It will sort of nto be as feelable? if that's a word, because of yourse you're not touching the phone directly. I've never thought of a battery case, I don't see the need but hope this helped.

If you want to have a folio/wallet case ones from Silk are cheap and relatively good value. They also work with wireless charging. If you are looking for a more premium leather option, cases from Pad & Quill, Snakehive and Nomad should serve you well. I recommend you use a tempered glass screen protector, as it will protect your phone’s screen from cracks and scratches (my screen protector has saved my phone from destruction a couple times.) I have never used a wallet case personally, but there are lists of the best cases for iPhone 11 online you might want to check out. Most cases are compatible with wireless charging so that shouldn't be a major concern.

I use an Otterbox with the plastic screen protector removed and a tempered glass protector in its place. I also keep it in the belt clip most of the time for even more protection. This is on an iPhone 7 though.
The only gripes I have are the belt clip interferes with the reception of the microphones when you talk on the phone. You need to remove the clip when you talk or you will sound muffeled on the other end. After years of use the edges of the rubbery outer shell gets a little loose in spots, particularly above the lightening port flap. Don't know if the cases for the iPhone 11 will be like this.

No matter which phone I'm rocking, I always outfit it with a tempered glass screen protector and a Spigen case. I'm not sponsored or anything, I just really like Spigen cases because they're cheap and protect it enough while still managing to look decent.

Tempered glass screen protectors are cheap online and don't get in the way. They feel infinitely better than plastic. If you drop your phone, the protector will break instead of your screen (in most situations). I must confess, I'm not using one of these at the moment, but it's because finding one for a curved screen just isn't worth the hassle.

For cases, Spigen is my go-to company. Ringke also makes good stuff. They both sell on Amazon for not too much money. Otterbox is a bit overkill, in my opinion, and they tend to be on the ugly side. All you need is a case with soft material (like TPU) to absorb impacts, a lip around the screen, and a snug fit. Bonus points if you get the ones with air pockets molded into the corners for added drop protection. I prefer hybrid cases with soft TPU and a hard plastic shell. They provide the same protection, but the hard plastic feels better in the hand. Pure hard shell cases without any soft material are usually thinner and feel less gross, but they don't give you as much impact protection. Better to buy a soft or hybrid case and wipe it down occasionally. If you want the colors of your phone to show through, you can buy a clear case, but keep in mind that clear cases will gain a yellow tint over time with use.

If you're feeling adventurous, you could always go for a vinyl skin, but that will only protect from scuffs and scrapes. Also, it's probably best to have sighted help when installing them.

You can't go wrong with Speck Cases for protection of the back of the phone. AS previous posters suggested you would probably want a tempered screen protector if you want complete coverage of the phone. Speck iPhone cases have always been my preference. Depending on the color they can be pretty affordable. If you are fine with a non popular color such as green you can usually get a case for about 20 bucks. some of the popular colors such as red and black are more expensive. I have the grip case which has rubber ribs on the back and my phone can charge wirelessly on a Belkin mat. Many are going to give suggestions here, but its ultimately up to you, what your most comfortable with, how you want the case to feel and how well it protects the phone. Otterbox cases are going to provide the most protection for your phone, but they are the bulkiest cases making a phone have a larger profile. speck cases are more form fitting, but they do not completely protect the front and back of the phone. It's all what you prefer though and how much protection of the phone you want. What works for me with a Speck case may not work for other posters that prefer complete protection of the phone from the otterbox line of cases.
