If you've not already found it, a recent blog post on iOS gaming for the blind received lots of interesting comments and recommendations. It might give you a few ideas. Here's the post: http://www.applevis.com/blog/competitions/ios-gaming-have-blind-gamers-ever-had-it-so-good

You might also want to give us an indication of whether you have a preference for specific genres of games (although your original post suggests that this might be varied (smile)).

My current fave is Swing Tennis. Ahtough it doesn't completely live up to the potential of the iPhone accelerometer, it's accessible once you get past the tutorial. Definitely worth the 99 cents. ErnCon is perhaps my second favorite, though I wish you could fly the ship by accelerometer instead of joystick. It's a bit challenging at first, and you'll never do as well as a sighted person, but it is still quite fun and I find myself playing quite often. These games haven't taken off with the blind community, and I don't quite understand why, since they're not hard to play. A challenge, yes, but not enough to slow me down lol. I suppose though that I'm used to taking games that aren't accessible and making them work.

Ahoy all. Thanks for the suggestions so far. As for my preference on games, almost everything is fine, but the dice games like farcle. I like the game, mind you.but its more fun playing with a few people. unless that option is available in that game?I'll have to look in the app entry. AT Isaac, papa sanga or however that's spelled as, I believe is no longer available in the app store? AT Ken, Swing Tennis I suppose that'll only be useable with iphones? ErnCon I have never heard of before, although from what you wrote,it does sound interesting.

well, I think sixth sense is another good one. it is a bit difficult to finish but, it is a really good shooting game.

Almost forgot I had this one on my pad already! =). probably due to me not beeing able to play it properly. would I be right in asumeing that a mini does support the 3.1mm jacks on the slot where the headphones go? my headphone's pin doesn't seem to fit in that well, and besides I can't really figure out where to shoot, its more of a matter on how,I suppose. my headphones do support stereo but I have no idea if the zombie is comeing from 10:00 3:00 7? and so on. I end up shooting randomly and still there's one direction that I can't shoot in,as the zombie gets me in the end. A shame though that one can not play where's my ducky on an ipad, though. sounds like fun.

In dice world, you play aginst human apponents. Like you, I don't wish to play aginst a computer. The developer is really doing a great job of making everything fully voice over compatible.
