Accessibility Comments

this app does fine when you first open it, but once past the log in screen, when your in live tv, it's absolutely terrible. not only is it in landscape, but when you read down the list of channels, it does not tell you what channel you have selected. it seems like it pulls random channels that are not on your network. it reads shows that are on, but not what channel they are on. when you select a show, then you cannot navigate to another cannel you want to watch. you have to close the app then reopen it.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads most page elements.

Button Labeling

Most buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

Some parts of the app are accessible with VoiceOver, but not enough to make it usable.

Other Comments

i would try to contact time warner to fix the issues i have stated.

When you first open the app, you are presented with the user agreement and two unlabeled buttons. The second one is what you want. The Live TV part works well enough, but if you have any usable vision and want to actually watch, the menu blocks part of the screen and there is no way I found to make it go away. Turning VO off and tapping outside of the menu will work. be sure to double-tap the screen to bring the menu back before turning on VO or you'll still be stuck. I could not try the guide or DVR functions as I don't have a box or DVR, but I did try the On Demand tab and it is completely inaccessible.

Actually the on demand tab will work. Click tv or movies and you'll see shows make sure to be on your home network for most show list. If on an Ipad click list rather than grid and then bingo. I love having this feature

I have Time Warner Cable for TV. I only have the TV hooked to the cable line with no box, so I can't test the guide or DVR stuff. I have used it to listen to shows on demand, and at least searching for stuff, it has been reasonably accessible. You do often have to use landscape mode to get it off of live TV into on demand, but it gets the job done.

later versions of the Spectrum TV app have fixed a lot of the accessibility issues. The on-demand tab is a little bit difficult, but it is still usable. does anybody know how this app is on the Apple TV as far as accessibility and usability?
