I use voice over on my phone with BARD. How do I delete books that I have read on my iPhone using voice over?

When on the book, with the new bard mobile update now slide up to delete. You will see read, books about the author and same subject. For example Spenser Novel, it will tell you the next book or books from the author. If you download a book, be careful with playing it. Slide up to select read because you might delete the book.

You can swipe down once and Voiceover will say delete then tap twice. If you swipe up there are several options before delete.

OK I have tried this many times with no success. My sighted wife tried as well. My Bard version is 1.3.0

I know that sounds obvious, and you may already have checked this, but are you sure you're rotor is set to actions? Sometimes mine isn't, and is set to virtical navigation, which throws me for a loop for a second. If it is, and you're seeing all the other options, just not delete, I'm not sure what to suggest. I see delete in that list. In trying to find an alternative solution for you, I rediscovered the edit button in the top right-hand corner of the screen, which I'd actually forgotten about for a while now, since I tend to find the Title, Author, and Latest buttons near the top of the screen by touching them, but it doesn't appear to actually do anything. You can put it into editing mode and double-tap on books, but they don't appear to be selected, and I can't find a delete button.

Thanks,
Shersey

Did you updated?

I am still trying. I have deleted and reinstalled the Bard app, no success. I put bard on my wife’s phone and it works as as Betty suggested. We have compared all the settings against my wife’s phone and my phone and they seem to be the same. When I am on the book name and it will read the name the author and the time and then I’ll say say actions available. However I cannot ever find the actions available. My phone is an iPhone 7 and my wife’s phone is an 8+.

I don't check to see what rotor is set to when I delete a book by swiping down. In fact I just tested it and I am able to delete books regardless of what my rotor is set to. I touch the title, Voiceover reads the title, then when I swipe down Voiceover says delete.

I see you have just reinstalled the app so can't be a settings issue. Besides I don't see any settings for preventing deleting.

Make sure you are in the bookshelf tab when you try to delete a book. I don't believe you can delete the book from the Now reading dialog.

Everything’s OK here. And I’m using an iPad. You have to be in the bookshelf tab if you want to delete books you’ve read.Everything’s OK here. And I’m using an iPad. You have to be in the bookshelf tab if you want to delete books you’ve read.

The BARD App is working as it is supposed to. I don't know why or how, but I can now delete by swiping upward. Thank you for all the suggestions.
