I'm looking for a Voice Memos app replacement.

I am looking for an app to replace Apple's stock Voice Memos app. While I find it very simple to use, for me, the simplicity ends there. I am constantly getting duplicates of voice memos in iTunes. I finally had to go through the voice memos folder in the iTunes Media folder and delete a whole bunch of stuff. Suffice it to say, I am rather frustrated with how the stock Voice Memos app and iTunes behave with one another. I have heard of Dropvox, and it sounds great, except for the fact that I have to turn off my 3G connection in order to stop voice memos uploading to Dropbox over my data connection. They say they're coming out with an upload only over wifi option, but it's been a while, and I need a replacement app ASAP, as I do quite a bit of recording on the iPhone. I recently heard of Audio Memos, but I think the price is a bit high for my needs. Not to mention, from what I could gather, it only records in .wav format. Also, you have to buy an in-app purchase before you can upload to Dropbox. Also, I'm not sure if it's accessible; of course, I could test the free version. I would just like some opinions on other voice memo apps which people have used. Looking forward to suggestions, Shersey

Hmm I find nothign wrong with the voice memos app in iTunes, it jsut works. You could use boss jock even though it's a full featured studio but I have used it for such purposes as just recording stuff. but all in all I go back to the voice memos app as it just works.

That's not a voice memos app. that is a dictation app. There is a difference. the poster wants a replacement for a recording app on ios.
Try dropvox and CleanRecord. Smart recorder might even be better, as you can have more than one recording in each session and can easily renamings session. They have one version for 399 which allows you to record and playback your recordings and rename them, and one for $15 which allows you to edit your recordings.
I love the recording quality of the Voice Memos app which comes with the iPhone. The only trouble I have is with fast forward and rewind during long recordings. If I have a 2 hour recording, it seems like I can only skip forward or backward in 15 minute increments. Does anyone know of a way to skip in smaller increments during playback?
Just out of curiousity, does anyone know when the purported "upload only over wifi" support is coming to Dropvox? I'll have to take a look at Smart Record. I have the lite version of it, I think. Thanks, Shersey
