Hello all, My name is Carlo, a long time reader of this forum, and first time poster. I've been using a great app for both Mac and Windows called iMazing. Basically, it's like iTunes unshackled, and loads more. (See further down the post for a description) I've been in contact with their support team, and they told me that they are developing the new version with UI changes and will try to consider better screen reader support. Some issues are: MacOS
  • There are a bunch of unlabeled buttons and sometimes tooltips will read. Other times, you have to press the button to figure out what the function of the button does.
Windows
  • Most of the buttons are labeled, but NVDA, and Narrator read the sidebar as ā€œiMazing.sidebar sidebar itemā€. JAWS does actually read the side bar.
  • There are a few other miscellaneous issues with focus jumping around where it should not, a random unlabeled button or two, and the menu bar appearing in the tab order where it should not.
There is a trial, as well as separate licenses for both Mac and Windows or both combined and they're always running decent deals. I know there are a fare amount of users who are strictly Mac users, and others that use Windows in a VM or bootcamp. Do you think we could make usability a reality for both sides? You can find more info about this program at The iMazing homepage. I'll summarize below. Most of the info is taken straight from their page minus the "see more" links. Finally, if we wish to beta test, the link to sign up is the iMazing beta sign up page. If you guys have any questions, i'll try to answer them in a timely manner. Thanks. " Manage your iPhone. I just sent an email to the devs containing a link to this post in the hopes that they will take part in the discussion or at the very least, gage interest.

I have been trying iMazing to do some simple file transferring to and from Windows 10 PC and my iPhone but the Windows interface doesn't seem to work with JAWS or NVDA. Anyone have any luck with iMazing??

Hi
I use iMazing for mac a lot, mainly to schedule local backups of my iPhone to my external harddrive. I agree that there are areas in which accessibility could be improved, and hopefully accessibility will be considered in the upcoming versions as well. I find the program extremely useful!

Hi all, I have a question. Is iMazing free? I looked on the website and thereā€™s a free download button but next to it thereā€™s a buy now option. What is the difference if you buy it? Just curious. Iā€™ve been looking for something to transfer everything from my iPhone to my Mac. Especially music. I have lots of music and would like to move them to my Mac, or at least save it in a back up. Anyway, if anyone can tell me if thereā€™s a difference or if I misunderstood something. iā€™d highly appreciate it.
Thanks
