Accessibility of Instant Pot app

Hi, all. I am out of the loop regarding the accessibility of the Instant Pot app. I have an old iPhone 6 on which I run the old version of the app, accessible with my Instant Pot from 2017. Can anyone shed any light on whether there is an accessible app that works with the Instant Pot now? I had heard rumblings that the newer Instant Pots and associated app did not work well with VoiceOver. Thanks for any info you can provide.

I purchased one last week. they recently updated the app and from what I understand it has become much more accessible. There are still a couple of issues.

I would also be curious to know how newer models work with the companion app. I recall, back in the day, people saying that the Bluetooth model worked best with the companion app.

I would like to buy one but would like to know if the Bluetooth models, and now the wi-fi models, if there is one in particular that works better then the others.

I bought one of the Instant Pot with WiFi so I could use the app to control the Instant Pot. The Smart Cooker app seems to be very accessible. Unfortunately, the app on my iPhone won't connect to the Instant Pot. This apparently is a problem with the Instant Pot software. Saw this issue on Google but ignored it. Not the smartest of moves. Seems like I heard you may have better luck making the connection with an iPad or Mac. The buttons on the pot are raised so you could operate it by touch, however there is a screen that shows timer minutes etc so not real user friendly from that standpoint. Hope that helps.

Does anyone know if the companion app has the same issues with the Bluetooth model versus the wifi model, or even if the Bluetooth model still exists?

I'm just trying to figure out whether the experience is better on the Bluetooth model or whether its the same on either models.

Thanks!

I have the older Bluetooth model so can't comment on the Wi-Fi model. If it uses the same app then the app is fine but I am not sure if that is the case.
The Bluetooth model has been discontinued. Perhaps you could still find it on eBay but I am afraid your main options to get a Bluetooth model would be to find it on eBay from an overstock situation or buying one secondhand. I'd probably prefer to try the Wi-Fi model to buying a secondhand Instant Pot.
Keep in mind that Instant Pot is definitely the famous name but there are many others on the market now that do the same things and even one who's name I forget which even air fries. Unfortunately we need more accessibility information about all their apps.
