Need help editing one of my contacts

Hi all. I never use the labels much when i create a contact. I did however when I needed a friend's work phone as well as his home and ipHone. I labeled the iphone and home correctly. Here's my problem. When I want to text him, it comes up with his work number first, which has no label then a chevron button. If I tap that, it acts as though his iphone is the one that's selected. If I just tap on his name, I would send to his work number, not his personal iPhone. so can anyone help? I don't want to get rid of his numbers, I just want his iphone to show up first in the list of options.
