I'll let you know how it works out after I play with it. I mostly scan my mail, not books. From the description, don't think this would work with most bound items.

OK, here's what the Scanner Bin is:
Almost the whole thing is cardboard. It's basically a carcboard box that is open on one side. One side has flaps that need to be tucked into each other, and it's a little complicated. You could build this yourself from a cardboard box set on its side with a little experimentation.
The top side has a square hole that you put the camera lens area over. You have to use the sides of the box to line everything up. The document goes inside the box on the bottom side. It does work. If you're not good at lining things up by feeling edges, it might be a problem.
It comes with a rectangular pad about the size of a sheet of paper with a smaller square hole in it, and a plastic sheet covers one side. I'm not sure what this is for yet. It also comes with a large bundle clip.
For twelve bucks, I guess it's all right. Saves you the trouble of trying to build one yourself.
