I don't know if this is a bug but it's been happening since IOS13 and continued with all the updates. I was hoping it would stop with the latest update but it hasn't. It happens when I'm listening to a podcast or a book, and it is extremely annoying. I lock the screen and the phone comes on every minute announcing the time, so my only resort is to switch voice over off. Has anyone else had this happen, or is it a bug.

Probably, you should wait for the next update from Apple. Or you can keep the volume low and connect any high-quality wireless headphones with your iPhone. This will at least not disturb you when you are listening to any audio book in the dark.
Alternatively, turn off VoiceOver for a couple of minutes, and restart your device; next, turn on VoiceOver and use the device.

That turning voice over off I do but I haven't tried restarting device. The lower volume seems to work for the moment
Can you still listen to books
Can you still listen to books and podcast whilst do not disturb is on, and does it stop that dratted time coming up smiles.
