Hi all!
Forgive me if I've asked this before, but I'm not 100% sure if I asked this on here before.

We have a sanctuary of sorts with a cat, & various birds. And we get knew birds that ttop over. I'd like an app to help me identify these knew birds by thier sounds. Basically, I'd like a Shizam for birds. I'd like to be able to have the bird making the sound, & open the app, & have the app identify the bird. It'd be nice if the app also had info on the birds too.
For anyone who isn't familiar with Shizam, it is an app where you can listen to a song & identify it.
Thank you very much in advance for your help!

If you want to listen to birds from around the world, this app does the trick and provides a wealth of information about different birds.

You can even listen to samples from different sites.

Technically Shazam for wildlife is much harder than for music since most beasts change their notes, tone and speed from time to time so the machine has trouble finding a reference song. Plus you need a good recording. I have built a website to help people learn European birds however, and you can soon get your ear in for garden birds: www.wildechoes.org contact me via the site if I can be of help. Chris
