Hi all,
Has anyone come across an odd thing after the latest FB update. Occasionally whilst swiping through posts on the newsfeed tab yu are suddenly chucked out of the app and have to go back in again. It then seems to put you back at the start of the posts. As I say seems to happen only now and again and only since the latest FB update. iOs 13.3 iPhone 8.

Hello,
Yes this is an issue with the latest version of the app. I have seen it mentioned on email lists I am on.

I did my duty and reported it on the facebook feedback form for accessibility.
Wow I feel sooo virtuous. Come on now. I know it's a royal pain,
but we need to sing in chorus here. And save the whine link for future vintages.
You know facebook screws up access every few days.

Hello everyone! I've got the same issue here, with the last version of facebook, the last version of ios, and an iphone Xr. I wrote a bug report, from the application, but I'm going to doit from the accessibility form too! Kind regards carine

Yes same here with an XS Max and the most recent iOS. Tweeted @fbaccess on Twitter but no reply, they are usually very prompt at replying but not on this occasion

Funny you should post about this. Because I thought about posting about it here yesterday! Because I've been dealing with it too! It crashes & the app is still open. It's very frequent for me, I'm talking multiple times a day. Yesterday, I didn't even get to look at 1 whole post before it crashed! I did a reinstall yesterday, but I've been too busy to see if that fixes it, permanently or temporarily. But that is something I suggest you all try. It may fix the problem for a while @ least. Or it may not. Either way, it can't hurt to try. And also, a girl can dream right?
Thanks for posting this, now I know I'm not crazy & it's not just me! lol

Been encountering this very annoying bug as well, ever since I installed the last Facebook update, version 251.0 that is. Happens pretty much every single time I open the app and try swiping through my news feed. Sometimes right away, other times, it lets me read through the first few items in the feed before crashing and kicking me out. More recently, I can't even get past the first item in the feed now.
I would encourage everyone to report this to the Facebook Accessibility team. They have a page on Facebook called Facebook Accessibility, and they can also be contacted via Twitter by using @FBAccess.

Other people I know who are sighted are also having this issue. I was talking to a sighted family member & she said that she and another family member were having issues also. I just asked to see if it mainly only affected us, or not. It's something I do quite frequently with Fb. I ask other sighted family members if they're having similar issues when it comes to stuff like this.

And also I did get on for a tiny bit today. And knock on wood the reinstall seems to have fixed it. For how long remains to be seen.

Cheers all, Based on what Dawn says FB maybe more inclined to fix this faster. Hopefully in the next update as it is affecting their core customers and not some piddly minority lol.

This is interesting. I have not heard or seen this bug on the Android side.
