I'm wondering where on the uber eats app can I report the voiceover crashing the app when adding items? There's no way to contact under the help section nor an accessibility option like there is on the regular uber app.
Thanks

Uber Eats and Voiceover.
I would go in to your regular Uber app, and report it there. Ensure when you do, that you mention that your reporting an issue with Ubereats.
Here’s how
From the Uber Eats app, the path is as follows:
Account tab > Help > Guide to Uber Eats > Basics > I have feedback about VoiceOver or TalkBack features.
Yeah, it’s rather buried. Lol.
I submitted feedback about an issue where the app crashes during the ordering process, when I try choosing options for an item. They responded suggesting I reinstall the app which worked once before reverting to crashing again, so the issue definitely needs a proper fix. lol
Order tracking screen is broken
It would appear that the order tracking screen, meaning the screen which comes after your order is placed, has been significantly changed and no longer works well with Voiceover. This screen used to show the order status and information about the driver. Once the order was out for delivery, I was able to see the ETA, but it was at the bottom of the screen and VO kept wanting to jump back to the top, so it was difficult to monitor this info.
Anyone else experienced this issue?
Jim
I also experience this
I also experience this problem, as well as a lot of unlabled buttons that make calling the driver difficult. Also, when ordering meals, like from McDonalds, you have to double tap and hold to select meal options. This isn't read by voiceover. And you can't remove toppings from a burger by double tapping on them. If other people are experiencing these bugs, I think we should all tweet at uber_support, since reporting these bugs through the uber app appears to do nothing.
Hi Tasha,
Hi Tasha,
I no longer experience the Uber eats app crashing when using standard menus where there are no sub-menus you have to go into. I did however recently experienced the McDonald’s bug you described. In fact, I got so annoyed I closed Uber eats and ordered from GrubHub instead. I don’t have Twitter otherwise I would do the tweet thing. I did want to make sure folks are following the path I posted a few replies above so that the feedback goes specifically to their accessibility team.
Sorry for the lack of
Sorry for the lack of clarification. I don't experience the crashes, but do experience the bugs on the tracking screen. In terms of reporting accessibility bugs, I've never gotten a useful response from reporting the bug using the path you described. Granted, I never got a useful response from Twitter either, but I do think enough of us tweeted about the constant crashes that they eventually got fixed. If one more Uber rep tells me to reinstall the app, I"ll scream.
Update
So, as of upgrading from iOS 12 to iOS 13 I'm no longer experiencing UberEats crashing when I try to click on submenu options in the order screen. So, that's a win... but there's still a problem -- VoiceOver does not indicate whether or not an item (such as "no onions" or the size of a soda, for example) are selected. As a specific example, I was trying to order a sandwich from Subway so I chose the coldcut trio. I made some customizations before adding it to my cart. When I reviewed it in my cart, I saw that the customizations were all messed up and not at all what I specified. I think it's because when you choose a sandwich it comes with some items pre-selected. Since there's no way to know which items are selected or not, though, I inadvertantly removed some items I wanted while adding some items I didn't. I hope this made sense. In other situations, clicking on extra toppings or to remove standard toppings doesn't actually have any effect at all. I've noticed the user interface can vary pretty significantly from one restaurant's menu to another, making it extra difficult to track down any kind of pattern with these issues.
ubereats customization problems
Uber is aware of the problems with customizing items and ordering combo items like meals from McDonalds. Sadly, there is no timeline for a fix, which is super unfortunate. I've received this info from an Uber employee that I connected with through a friend of a friend. Apparently, their accessibility team is super underresourced. I definitely think this is something the blind community should be making a stink about. I never will order McDonalds from Ubereats, but I check to see if this bug is resolved often because it bothers me so much that it exists.
Accessibility!
I’ve reported these issues multiple times. Too many times to count. Clueless and not accessibility focused. All related to customization.
An example; ordering a large nuggets from Mickey D’s allows 4 sauces. If I want all BBQ, it won’t allow increase after first selection. Sometimes if you back out and try again.
Door Dash has better service in my area. Fully accessible, and live reps who have assisted with accessibility related issues. All issues addressed in subsequent updates.
My problem with Uber Eats
One area where Doordash blows Uber Eats away is reading a menu. Uber Eats used to read menu item descriptions on the main screen without having to open up an item. With Doordash, flicking through a menu will read you all information and is considerably less of a pain.
Maybe its time to ditch UberEats then
I’ve always used UberEats just because its the first delivery app that I started using and I’m comfortable with it. I only use the others if I can’t find the food I want on Uber. Maybe its time to give up on Uber and switch to Doordash.
problems are still here
With several build updates, the customization problems still persist. Selected ingredients are not announced. It appears that you can at least consistently choose a combo meal now, and the drink to go with it, but you can't remove items. I've reported this but haven't made any progress.
