Voice Over Feedback

Hello All,

I apologize if this topic has been covered/answered in another forum, but I would like to modify the feedback I receive from Voice Over on my I Phone XS MAX running IOS 13.2. On the home screen, whenever I move my finger and land on an app or folder, Voice Over says, "Double tap to open, use 3-D touch to show homescreen actions." I have been an I Phone user since the 4S and do not need that kind of feedback anylonger. I realize that some new I Phone users will, but I want to know if there is anyway to stop the excessive feedback from occurring when I come in contact with an app or folder on my homescreen, or any other app on a different page of my I Phone. I swear that when I was listening to the last Pod Cast from Thomas on IOS 13, I did not here Voice over repeat those extra hints on his home screen. Any direction/feedback you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. -Andrew-

Hi Andrew,

In the accessibility\VoiceOver settings, you will find a verbosity button. In this screen, disable the speak hints option. That should fix the problem!

I appreciate the direction. I did just as you said, and it fixed my issue. Thank you very much.!

This fixes it, but you may wish to add hints to your rotor, since there are some apps that use them for actual useful information. I think, for example the Overcast podcast app either used to or still does give you extra information about podcasts with it on vs. off. I honestly don't remember though, because it happened to me a few times so I just left hints on and put up with all the extra babble, ☺️. Your milage may vary.
