Hi all. I somehow got this app, analyze me, on my Mac. I can't remove it. I can't delete it, Clean my Mac can't uninstall it, even after I unchecked the Safari extension it was there. I want this to go away. I tried to use the activity monitor. I thought "Stopping" the process might help. Of course the "ap" does not have any windows. I'd like some help navigating the terminal if i need to go that route. I'm not afraid but I don't want to mess anything up. Thanks anyone who can help.

Try hitting command option c
Try hitting command option c to copy the app name as path then in terminal enter sudo rm -r and paste in the path to the app. Hit enter, then enter your pw. Enter the command slowly though and paste in the path name and make sure it is correct. As you will get no prompt.
Would you help me?
I understand everything except where to copy the path name. Maybe we can facetime audio or something? I also want to make sure i'm doing it right. I would very much appreciate it. Thank you for the help, I thought yet again, I was gonna be largely ignored.
1. Go to the app directory
1. Go to the app directory with command shift a from the finder.
2. Go to the app and hit command option c.
3. Launch terminal
4. Type sudo rm -rf and paste in the path you just copied.
5. Enter your pw.
6. Hit enter.
command not found
Ugh. This is a pain in the ass. I typed in exactly what you said, then this is what I coppied with command option C /Applications/AnalyzeMe.app When I hear command not found, i'm at Siobhan's mac book pro dollar. If you can help that would be great. Thanks so much.
possible malware infection
A quick Google search for, "Analyze me," turned up nothing pertinent to your situation, leading me to believe the app may be a piece of malware or a PUP, (potentially unwanted program). Have you tried removing it with something like MalwareBytes?
Another tip for manual troubleshooting is to check your login items in System Preferences > Users & Groups. If the app or anything relating to it is present in the table, delete it and restart your computer.
Also, unexpected behavior can sometimes be caused by apps installing configuration profiles that alter system parameters or prevent you from changing certain settings. To check, open System Preferences > Profiles and delete any profiles you don't recognize, then restart your computer.
HTH
It's not malware
Thx but it's not Malware so much as a poorly designed app, meant to annoy the hell out of me. It doesn't bother me so much as it's on my menu bar, and i can't close it. I'll check the log in thing and the profile. Even clean my Mac can't uninstall it because it's still being used. Whatever, i'll just take it to someone who can see, one ro two clicks and they can get it off.
It's gone
Well give the Irish temper a chance. I googled, I went into the terminal, and I ended up somehow finding this Status icon. Clicking on it, I saw the beautiful button labeled remove. One password later, and access to the bash file and I'm done. Thanks for the help.
