I am totally blind and use an iPhone 11 with voiceover. I wonder if anyone can tell me what features are available for outlook on an iPhone and what you need to pay? how accessable is it using VO.

I have Outlook installed on my iPhone 8 and I am also totally blind and use VoiceOver. I use Outlook for my work emails while using the native Mail app for my personal ones but I have found it to be really accessible.
The Outlook app can do the same things as the iOS Mail app, for example send emails (including attachments if necessary), read emails and reply to and forward them and you can also use Outlook to access your Calendar if the email account you are using also has a linked calendar.
The cost of the app is free and if you have an Office 365 account linked to your email address, you will be able to sign in with that, for example I am on Office 365 at work so I used those credentials to log into Outlook on my phone and that’s how I access my work emails remotely.
The only thing I’d say is that sometimes it can be a bit difficult to navigate threads with multiple messages but this can be done using the VoiceOver rotor (set it to messages and then swipe up and down with one finger) but once you have gotten used to it it should be fine.
Overall, I really like the Outlook app for iOS and it has most definitely been a life saver for accessing my work emails remotely.

Hello. I use the app on my phone some times. It's really accessible with Voiceover and I believe it's free as well. One thing that's cool is Cortana can read your emails and you can respond in various ways if you have that mode going. You can configure Siri to open the app and let Cortana start reading automatically.
I do like the sounds Outlook comes with. The only thing I don't like is when I have too large of an attachment in an email, the app won't send the email. There's no feature like Mail Drop, for example.
Other than that, would totally suggest trying the app out.
The send button is above the to: feild. So to navigate to it easily, just touch with 4 fingers at the top of the screen to get to the top, then keep swiping right untill you find send.

My only issue is that I can never tell where the focus is when I'm writing an email on my Braille Display/external keyboard, making it hard to review the message before sending it. I have to write my response in a text editor and then copy its contents into the body. I haven't tried writing an email in Outlook itself in months because I don't want to risk it. Does anyone else experience this issue?

Well as of the latest outlook version I can no longer reply using the little edit field at the bottom of the screen. basically not a thing happens, and I can't tap the reply options button as again nothing happens. This might be my phone though. running ios 15.x on an iPhone 12 pro. I did restart the app and restart my phone with he same result.
I do love the calendar though and use it to know when I go to work every day.

Issue with outlook for iOS
Does anybody else have any difficulty finding the send button after they reply to a message?

Issue with focus when writing emails on iPad
