question about VO and the lock screen

Hello, Is there any way to prevent VO from automatically reading text messages on the iPhone lock screen? The option to speak notifications in the lock screen is turned off. Thank you!

I'm not sure what's going on, when I hit the unlock button, voiceover only tells me how many notifications I have, and doesn't read them automatically at all. It only reads if I touch them. Are you experiencing a different behavior? My text messages behave just like any other notification.

Hi, I just tested it. VO does not read the message, but it reads the time on the lock screen, and says that I have 1 notification. Is there any way to prevent it from reading the time on the lock screen?

I'm afraid the time is always announced, and it is impossible to change that. I personally have just gotten used to it, and even use it as a substitute for my watch.
