More Sundaes! is better than a trip to the ice cream parlor. Pick out your dish or cone, load up with as many scoops as you want from a dizzying selection of ice cream, add specialty items like brownies, cookies, or bananas, drizzle on sauces, and then top it off with everything from whipped cream to candy, fruit and nuts.

After you have built the world's greatest sundae, dig in! Take virtual bites or even lick the ice cream off a cone just by swiping your finger. But before you eat it all, save a photo of your ice cream to your photos album, share it on Facebook, or email it to your friends.

Accessibility Comments

For a food lover like myself, this ap has endless potential for fun if you don't mind needing to turn Voiceover on and off to cope with the gestures.  Simply start by choosing your bowl,Sundae glass or cone, then fill it with luscious ice cream in a multitude of flavors, you can choose from a list of clearly labelled buttons, then turn off VO and swipe the centre of the screen to add the ice cream.  Next add your sauce, turn off VO to drizzle it on your Sundae by touching the centre of your screen.  Turn VO back on to choose your toppings and add them in the same way as the sauce.  Now we're ready to eat. Press the eat button, turn off Vo and touch the screen to take a bite, or if you have made a cone you can even swipe to lick it. Enjoy!

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

All buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver, but the interface makes the app very difficult to use.

Other Comments

Unfortunately I have found a problem with this and all Maverick Software games. It is proving much more difficult to do a three-fingered swipe to turn pages which will enable access to more ingredients. While it can be done with patience it makes the game much more of a hit and miss affair and makes it much harder to play and less fun. I am therefore sadly changing the rating.

Hi, As of yesterday, this app is accessible. It's really fun. I'm not saying it's perfect, but what is?

As a long time fan of Maverick's games I was excited to see that More Sundaes had become accessible with Voiceover. I was, however, very disappointed with this update which appears to have been rushed to put it kindly. In Maverick's accessible games you are given a labeled image such as "Plate" or "Bowl" so that you can see what to tap to add your food. In this game the image is unlabeled in any way, you don't even hear the word "Button, there is just a click. If you want to make homemade ice cream this should be very doable. In the game More Holiday Dinner Maverick made it easy for us to tap ingredients and add them to a bowl. So why is it totally impossible to do it in More Sundaes? There is just a line of ingredients, and even double tap and hold doesnt' seem able to move them. Please don't get me wrong, I'm very glad of any accessibility improvements in graphics based games, but given the great things we have already seen from Maverick Software this really could have been so much better.
I don't have much trouble adding things to the boal when making home made ice cream. It's true that the image of the cone/boal is unlabled, but once one figures out that the thing that appears as a blank line when flicking is the thing to tap, it's easy. All of that said, Glenda is very open to feedback, and she didn't have to go to all the work to make her apps accessible at all. A lot of folks don't even care. In fact, I plan to write her soon about labling plates and table cloths in her food apps.
