iOS email apps

That's all I use is the stock email app. It is easy to use, fast, streamline and just a wonderful experience to get around. I wish I could hide my read messages but I can't have everything.

I've used the outlook app before, and it's pretty good accessibility-wise. A lot of the special features and such aren't much good unless you're using Microsoft's. Works well for the basics, tho.

Honestly can't remember what it's like with file attachments, though.

I use Outlook in a daily basis and it's a really wonderful experience working with it. I just wanted to post a topic on this forum with respect to how the braille screen input works better in iOS 13 in multiline text fields, such as the one on Outlook and gmail but I didn't have the time. I use Outlook as my primary e-mail app. What I like about it is that it has some similar features of the built-in iOS mail app, such as the ability to switch from one message to another by swiping up and down.
With respect to adding attachments though, I think they work pretty well within the app, but sometimes I had trouble opening or sending a file as an attachment from outside the app, such as from Dropbox. I also couldn't share an attachment I had received from someone.

I’ve been using the native app for as long as I’ve iOS! With my GMail account, but the problem I’m seeing since I updated to iOS13, is in order to sync my EMails to the computer (I sometimes use the computer and sometimes the phone to check them), is once I’m done on the computer. I need to open up the EMail app on the phone, and sync that way; before it’d be automatic; I didn’t have to worry about opening the Mail app to sync once done on the Windows10 Laptop, to check Email. Am I the only one experiencing this? and yes everything’s set up as IMap! Thanks for any info.

I tried it after the native Mail app started giving me problems with VoiceOver jumping around in message threads, and I can't complain. Like the native Mail app you have a ton of rotor actions and a separate messages rotor to navigate inside a thread, which the official Gmail app doesn't have. One thing Outlook does that the Apple Mail app doesn't at least with Google is it gives you propper push notifications with Gmail. With Apple Mail because Apple and Google had a falling out iOS can't push new mail notifications so it has to manually go out and fetch new messages and the minimum time you can set that to is 15 minutes. Outlook doesn't have this limitation, so as soon as a message comes in you'll get a notification on your phone no matter whether you're using a

I just grabbed outlook last night, but I do not want to do the office suite, so we'll see how long I stay with outlook. It sounds cool though and somethingn new fo rme to try, if I can get it to dl to my phone, more on that later. I got stuck this morning at waiting and downloading 0 percent so I just crashed to bed.

Have the outlook app and I see what you mean by the settings. I set up my signature and turned off all notifications as I don't use them, ever, at least not for email but the app seems faster than apple mail although clunky if I need to get to my nvda folder, I feel it is more steps but I like the filters. Wow.

I was starting to dislike the Mail app that came with my phone, so I downloaded Outlook instead. No regrets here. It's accessible, easy to useeaand your calendars are also in one place. I have 3 mail accounts, and it was hard to know which e-mail it was coming from with the iOS Mail app, but with Outlook you can set sounds individually for each account.
As others have mentioned, it also uses the Messages rotor option like iOS Mail does.
It also lets you choose a default browser. I don't really like Safari, but I'll using it for downloading audio files, since my favorite browser Firefox doesn't do the job.
Nonetheless, if you're tired of sycing issues from the default Mail app, aren't receiving notifications properly, or just think it's time to finth something new, go for Outlook.
