Hello there! Here's hoping there's a healthy number of audio game players here.
I'm posting because I'm part of a team of three, developing a narrative driven, 3D binaural audio game (entirely accessible to the blind and VI community), featuring explorable, immersive sound worlds, a complex dramatic story and multiple innovative audio mechanics based on psycho-acoustic principles. The game will be available on PC/MacOS/Linux, and Android/iOS.
We've just launched the Kickstarter, and we really need some help keeping the momentum going to surpass our target.
Hereās the Kickstarter campaign page, which has a lot more detail, I didn't want to write a wall of text here, as well as an early pre-alpha demo of the game:

Hello and thank you so much for bringing us a new audio game. I just wondering when it will be out on IOS? Really looking forward to it
Very nice
You had me at Narrative driven, complex and dramatic story. I'm not primarily an audio gamer, but I do play a lot of mainstream ones and am always looking for an audio game to scratch that same narrative itch. I will be in touch.:)

Release Date and Game Type
Hi!
Thanks so much for replying so soon. The iOS app is set for release in October of 2020. It's quite a unique project, but I'd say it's more akin to an exploration and audio based navigation game, with mechanics that aid said exploration.
Cool
This game sounds cool. I'll be awaiting its arrival.
Surprised there isn't more conversation about this
I'm really surprised there isn't more conversation about this game on here. It's something quite unlike the usual audio game fare. It seems like they're trying something quite interesting. I hope it gets more support.

Harry from āPitch Black,ā was just recently interviewed by the folks over at āBlack Screen Gaming.ā Check out its blog entry, plus download the interview, by following the below link:

PS. I am indeed shocked myself, that this particular forum of all places hasnāt had much traction around this game. Especially, since the Kickstarter campaign is now 81% fulfilled.
Sounds promising
Thanks for sharing the link Trenton. Good interview with Harry. Well articulated synopsis of game and mechanics. I appreciate something he said early in the interview... You can definitely portray a lot through sound. Ambitious ideas, look forward to the finished product.
Adventuregamers!
I see you have gotten a little advertisement on Adventuregamers.com. That's a fantastic place for this type of game, and I hope it helps spread the word!
Thanks!
Hey everyone! Lovely to see a little discussion going on here. Happy to announce we hit our funding goal a couple of days ago and are now on to our first stretch goal - transferable saves between desktop and mobile!
Was really lovely to get a little boost from the AdventureGamers site, there was talk of an IGN feature but it's come to no avail as of yet (often the way).
If anyone has any questions please do just let me know I'll be checking back here regularly.
Warmest regards!
Harry
IGN
You can't spell ignorant without IGN. An old clichƩ, but it's true, especially in the case of an audio game such as this. Personally this seems loike some real effort is being put into the world building, and this stands out as one of the more unique gaming experiences. So that's fantastic to see. I really do hope this game does well. I hope people both blind and sighted give it a chance.
Perfect!!!
I love audio games! Will it be free or paid game? Can I also be a beta tester too. Please!
Beta testing
Can I also be a tester for this gameās iOS version?
Beta Testing
Hey there!
Thanks for commenting! As regards beta testing, we've already had a lot of requests from potential testers, and so we can only guarantee that those who have got latest build access (one of the tiers on the Kickstarter) will be able to play the beta builds. After that, those that have backed the Kickstarter will have first dibs on the remaining slots as a thanks for supporting us early on.

Regarding price, it'll be Ā£20 on release (on PC/Mac/Linux) and also be released on iPhone and Android (price TBC). Right now on the Kickstarter you can get both mobile and desktop for Ā£17. We were offering them for Ā£13 as an early bird offer, but they've sold out.
All the best
Harry
