Hi there! So, I really need help here: I need to know if anyone on here uses Voiceover on Mac to access Google Chrome, and if so, do you find it better than JAWS, NVDA or Chromevox? Of the 4 screenreaders mentioned - JAWS, VO, Chromevox and NVDA - which would you say works best, generally with Google Chrome? Sorry I know that's probably a difficult question and may depend on the website, but I'm really stuck here and would just love some feedback from people who know a heck of a lot more than I do! Thanks in advance, Dublin Girl :)

I'm not exactly sure here. If you are using a mac with google chrome you'll either use VO or chromeVox. With chrome and VO, the way VO reads everything is like in safari if you've ever used it. I'm not trying to sound crude or anything, but with google chrome, I try to use chromeVox very sparingly. Sometimes it reads certain web pages better than VO, but I just don't rely on ChromeVox much anymore. Personally the thing I like in chrome over safari is that, let's say a webpage stops responding, or the app quits, then you can go back in and restore your pages which is very nice. Alright, enough rambling. I hope this helps. TC, Justin.

I was actually talking with a tutor about this exact thing recently. He swears by Google Chrome and I didn't know if it worked with Voiceover, so perhaps down the road a bit I'll check it out. But for now I'm cool with Safari even though it might be a bit buggy in some areas.
Yeah, definitely agree with the previous poster. Oh, I forgot to mention AddBlock works in youtube with chrome, or maybe chrome just doesn't have the stupid youtube adds? I don't know. But, whatever the case, you do not get video adds on youtube which is great, :)

Yes, vo works great with chrome. Cant say about other screen readers I am not using windows on my mac. as you know the screen readers mentioned in the post do not work on the mac. chrome and windows didn't work well together to me though. But it is awesome on the mac.

I've tried it but VO seems quite unresponsive. I'm not sure for others, but for me, as I mentioned earlier.

I tried it with macos sierra, it worked well there from what I tested, haven't tried with later operating systems though
