Hi,
I've recently baught a Synology NAS and wanted to use it to store all my content (music, audiobooks, movies etc) and access it from my phone.
What is the best accessible way of doing this? I've heard of Plex, but am unsure about the app's accessibility. Kodi looks promising too, but it seems like you can't install it on iOS without going through a lot of hoops.

Synology
So, do you find the Synology interface itself accessible? It wasn't in the past. If it is now, then Synology's Audio Station is probably your best bet.
As for Plex, there's not much written about it regarding accessibility, and what was out there wasn't encouraging. It also looked complicated, and complicated things only work for as long as I'm willing to sink time into maintenance. On IOS, I have been using an app called Music Streamer, which I posted an entry for here, but it hasn't been updated in years. It ties to my music library on a hard drive connected to my router. I've tried a bunch of other things: an old Asus app specific to their routers and an otherwise useless Android phone with the USB Audio Player software and BubbleUPNP.
There should be several DLNA player apps for IOS that are accessible, but I've had a hard time finding one that meets my needs.
