Hello everyone,
As new software updates from apple have arrived, there are many exciting features for us to start looking in to. One of the features I was excited about was the new Siri voices for English India.
I have been trying to download these voices on my iPhone and subsequently on my Apple Watch, no joy, however.
The voices are listed in the speech menu under accessibility/voiceover/speech, but I am unable to select them for downloading on the phone.
Needless to say, these voices cannot be downloaded on my Apple Watch as well.
I spoke to apple accessibility team. They asked me to do the usual, reset my WIFI connection, reset my iPhone settings, force restart of my Phone ..., nothing doing, though.
I went one step ahead and actually reinstalled the IOS, but sadly, I still am unable to select the voices for Voiceover.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.

Known bug
This is a known bug and has been widely discussed. Unfortunately, the only thing you're going to be able to do is wait for iOS 13.2 and hope that maybe they have gotten around to fixing it by then.
ah, that hurts!
I was thinking on similar lines. The joys and sorrows of new software updates from Apple, eh?
Anyway, thanks for your comment!
this is a bug I reported
As the first commenter said, Apple is aware of this bug, so all we can do is hurry up and wait for them to fix it. It seems that there are weird voice-related glitches every year. Thankfully, compared to some in the past, this one is fairly minor, but disappointing for sure!
Maybe iOS and iPadOS 40.0.1 will fix those bugs. :(
Honestly, I think that apple is getting even more pathetic every minute.
