I recently upgraded my IOS to 13.1 on my iPhone 8. Since doing this I am unable to play my Lost Cities card game. The buttons to play and retrieve cards just don't function any more. Any help or thoughts appreciated please. doreenT

If you double tap and hold on the card and swipe up a bit you will discard. A farther swipe up will play the card in question. I also heard you could swipe down to the lower third of the screen to discard the card but I can't seem to do this as it does not match the layout of my screen.

Thank you very much for the tip about dragging the cards to play and discard them. I have to admit that this never occurred to me as an option. However, I can’t figure out how to take a card from the discard pile. No matter what I do, Dragging, double tapping and holding forever, nothing seems to do anything. Do you know how to deal with this?

The only way I have found to pick up from the discard pile is to slide your finger to the place on the screen where the card is, then rest it there. Now if you have the accessibility shortcut for voiceover enabled, you can quickly toggle it off then tap the resting finger on the spot with the card, then re-enable voiceover and pray you picked up the card. It sort of works, but it's fiddly as hell, and I much prefer the double tap method because it was a lot less fiddling to just tap the card you want to play then tap what you wanted to draw. It makes the game nearly unusable, which is sad, because it used to be one of the examples of good accessibility. Does anyone know how I go about reporting a bug like this? Often when I slide cards to the lanes or discard piles, either the wrong card gets moved or it gets moved to the wrong pile, so I'd really prefer the double tap method back. I haven't found where to report this though. But if you find where to send but reports, let me know and I'll put one in as well. The app needs an iOS 13 update anyway, because it hasn't been updated in years, and performs very slowly on an iPhone 8 plus. Sorry that's not the ideal solution, but it's the best workaround I've found. None of the interface elements of this game are what I'd call reliable these days, though, sadly.
